Snowfall, a memory - Copyright (C) 7/20/08 by Dan Sharpe

Within its cold embrace,
my tears no longer trace,
my downfall, or my pain,
while falling like the rain.

Now all is pure and white,
and shrouded from the light,
of the cruel hash day,
and so pain fades away.

In this frozen, static state,
my cares and fears abate,
There's nothing left to do,
I've nothing left of you.

Like the falling snow,
I'll let it all go.
Nothing left of me,
a mound is all there'll be.
