Silent Turning - Copyright (C) 4/4/10 by Dan Sharpe.

In the silence of the night,
I reach out toward the light,
of a thousand distant stars.
Yet a thousand ancient scars,

each reminding me of you,
of the things you'd say and do,
to cut and tear me down,
till I'd fallen to the ground.

But a thousand scars can heal,
with the turning of the wheel,
till, someday, love shines again,
I can hardly wait till then.

Silent turning, till love's burning,
ever yearning, for that morning,
when dawn's light, splits the night,
of my plight, and sets things right.
