God Smiles - Copyright (C) 2/27/10 by Dan Sharpe.

As she hangs her head in shame,
her tears falling like the rain,
her aching heart is riven,
she whispers "can I be forgiven?"

A soft breeze dries her downcast eyes,
clouds part in the darkened sky,
a sunbeam gently warms her cheek,
all signs that God smiles on the meek.
