An Angel's Tale - Copyright (C) 9/29/08 by Dan Sharpe

My name is Gladiel, and I am an angel, no, not one of the well known ones, but, hey there are billions of us you know..

I know, I'm not what you thought we'd look like, no cherubic babe with wings.
But, hey it's not my fault you based your image of me on what some semi-intoxicated layabout painter painted angels to look like. If you read the Bible you will see that we are mighty, so, of course I look more like a middle linebacker.

But I digress, this story isn't about me, its about her.
It was just over 2 years ago when I felt the Hand of God on me.
In a still small voice He spoke to me, "Gladiel, I have a very special task for you, someone very dear to my heart needs a Guardian." I shouted with joy "I'm on it!"

I arrived just as she was concieved, and I have stood by her every night and day since then. I watched as she grew and I sang her songs. I tickled her so you would feel her very first kick.

I was there when she was born, and when she cried out, I did too, with joy and praise.

I was there when you called her by her name for the first time.

And I watched as she struggled with her illnesses, and I wept with you.

She is a hero, she fought so hard to stay with you, but in the end she had to go.

I carried her to the very throne of God, and passed her into nail pierced hands.
I watched as He laid her in the Father's lap, and they welcomed her home.

I just wanted to come back and let you know that she is no longer in pain.
She is resting in the very essence of love. She is adored and nurtured, loved and cared for.

And she will be there waiting for you when you join her.

Well, I've got to fly, someone else needs a Guardian.

Please remember, you are loved.
