A dream worth living..........
Once upon a time, I was IMing with my best friend,
whom I loved enough to marry, but who didn't love me.
We talked about families, and how impressed she
had been with a Christian family that she had visited,
one in which both parents were believers, (her mom
was a believer but her dad was not, by now I hope he is too).
The Lord quickened an image/concept in my heart and mind
of the potential of a Christian family as she and I IMed.
And I would like to share it with you today.
In my heart and mind's eye I saw her in my lap nightly,
in a personal and sincere time of praise and worship.
One in which she and I would look into each other's
eyes and thank God for each other, listing the things
that we cherished about one another and thanking
God for them aloud. Honoring the best in each other
before God and honoring Him for forming that within us.
I understood that in this life of praise and worship my wife,
and later my children would know not only that they were loved,
but also understand why they were loved.
She, and they, would never be insecure about my love
and respect for them. They would know daily.
In my minds eye I saw her pregnant, and us begining
to include our unborn child in our time of personal
praise and worship, I would lay my head by her womb
and she and I would sing and worship God.
Children are born already knowing their mom's voice,
our children, at birth, would not only know their mom's
voice, but they would know mine, as well, and know
the sound and tennor of praise and worship,
and also know the touch of God's presense.
For He inhabits the praises of His people.
As our children grew, we would share a family time of
praise and worship daily, one in which we acknowledged
one another before God, and laid aside strife beforehand.
We might be frustrated with one another but we would
work to set that aside, and reccognise that we still loved
and respected one another despite the frustration.
After our children had gone to bed, she and I would
still share our personal time of praise and worship.
One in which I saw myself ministering to her physically
with caresses, and cuddling, emotionally with love
and admiration, spiritually with recognition before God.
I understood that this was a way in which I could
make love to her spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
I would be making love to her harmoniously,
touching all 3 aspects of her: spirit, soul, and body.
